This is a beautiful piece of art and has 6 LED lights that flash wildly around in a circle and the way that the acrylic is cut and shaped makes the glass sparkle remarkably bright and is quite an attention getter. It is acrylic and the lights are in a separate piece in the bottom that is removable for cleaning of the glass. It has a on and off switch as well as a pressure switch in the bottom so when you set the glass down it turns itself off and it comes back on when you pick the glass up saving battery power when you are away from your drink.
